About the Role:

The scope of the role of a Financial Controller is to manage the accounting function, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The role includes budgeting, financial forecasting, and preparing financial statements as well as ensuring accurate, timely and quality Financial reports.

Job description

  • Supervise the accounting department to ensure proper functioning of accounting systems, databases, and financial software.
  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial and management reporting for business units, investors, and the Board of Directors.
  • Oversee the preparation and communication of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and timely filing of all tax returns.
  • Implement and monitor financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets.
  • Lead the implementation of financial software and tools for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Develop and manage budgets, financial forecasts, and divisional performance reports.
  • Review and analyze monthly financial results, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage cash flow planning processes to ensure availability of funds as required.
  • Identify and assess financial risks while developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Liaise with external auditors during audits to ensure transparency and compliance.
  • Represent the company in dealings with banks, financial institutions, and strategic business partners.
  • Qualification and experience

    Educational Qualification:

  • BBA/MBA in Finance & Accounting from a reputed university.
  • Professional qualifications such as CA, ACCA, or CMA will be an added advantage.
  • Professional Experience:

  • Minimum 7–8 years of relevant work experience in finance, accounting, or related fields.
  • Prior experience in FMCG or Logistics organizations will be given preference.
