ShopUp is looking for a dynamic and passionate Retention Executive to join our Porshi Business Unit. This role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with our micro-entrepreneur partners (Porshis), supporting their growth journey, and ensuring a seamless experience through active communication, feedback collection, and system improvements.

Job description

  • Regularly engage in conversations with Porshis (micro-entrepreneurs) to understand their experiences and gather feedback related to the Porshi Business Unit.
  • Respond promptly to queries and issues raised by Porshis across various communication channels and forums.
  • Collaborate closely with Porshis to identify, document, and report app and system-related bugs.
  • Conduct product preference surveys in partnership with Porshis to better align offerings with their needs.
  • Execute price point and purchasing power surveys to gain deeper insights into market dynamics and customer affordability.
  • Communicate ongoing and upcoming promotional campaigns to Porshis to encourage participation and boost sales.
  • Follow up regularly with Porshis to ensure a healthy balance between sales performance and payment collections.
  • Lead and contribute to continuous process and application improvement initiatives, enhancing the overall Porshi experience.
  • Maintain organized documentation of all communication, insights, and feedback gathered from interactions with Porshis.
  • Write and report authentic, inspiring stories based on real conversations with Porshis, showcasing their progress, impact, and success.
  • Qualification and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both Bangla and English.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to customer support and engagement.
  • Basic understanding of digital tools and mobile applications.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Prior experience in customer engagement, field research, or community outreach will be considered an added advantage.
  • Additional information

    • Willingness to travel locally and work closely with micro-entrepreneurs in rural and semi-urban areas.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, based on project needs or campaign schedules.
    • Passionate about empowering small businesses and contributing to grassroots economic development.
    • Comfortable using smartphones and communication apps (e.g., WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger) for regular engagement.
    • Familiarity with local market dynamics and cultural context will be a plus.
    • Strong documentation skills to record field insights and prepare regular reports.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a diverse, cross-functional team.
